Self Portrait or maybe not Edm 56

I absolutely hate self portraits, but I was bored and couldn't figure what to draw so I thought I'd tackle my face. I tend to look mean or angry when i'm usually neither. I usually just feel blah with a headache. My hair thins out every winter, and grows fuller in the spring, but for now I had to take notice of how thin it has become. I'm trying not to panic and wack the entire thing off  and start all over :(

Self portraits are the hardest, I think but this certainly looks like a particular person. I recently saw an exhibition of about 60 self portraits, all done by one old lady on A4 cartridge paper - it was amazing as a set, though no one was particularly spectacular.

Brave soul - great job! Only you and your family knows if you've captured yourself.

I haven't tried this yet. I don't even have a handy mirror as you do. As far as thinning hair goes - I think mine is going, going...I hope not going gone but it never thickens, it just keeps thinning.

You've got a lovely way with eyes - all the eyes on this whole page are just stunning, and it's such an important part of a portrait isn't it?

I really like this, it's very expressive. You should do more self portraits just to see how they may evolve. I get the thinning hair thing too. So I stopped coloring it and now it's shockingly gray!
