Thumbelina by Hans Christian Andersen. I've chosen to illustrate the part of the story where Thumbelina is rejected by the cockchafer after he's been convinced by those around him that Thumbelina is ugly. The story tells thou that Thumbelina is the most beautiful creature despite how small she is in size. The illustration picks up where the cockchafer drops her off on a daisy and takes of leaving her alone and stranded.
Black Strathmore paper, water color and water color pencils.

Great illustration! So well done, pretty and a little bit of mystery too.
Sweet drawing!
Also,I love your take on "Fierce".... very creative and beautiful colors.
very pretty.I really like how strong the white is of the flower. Love that you used the black watercolor paper. I need to try that out sometime!
